Who are we.
Grant Killen - Managing Director.
Physical Security Expert
Grant began his career as a Royal Australian Navy Clearance Diver and participated in several overseas deployments before fulfilling contracts for the US State Department in Iraq.
In 2005, Grant joined the Queensland Police where he worked and instructed within a variety of specialist positions, including the Explosive Ordnance Response Team (EORT), and Close Personal Protection Team, responsible for the safety and security of political figures and visiting dignitaries.

Grant moved on from the Police, and consulted as a senior security and crisis management advisor in the mining, oil and gas industries. Grant was pivotal in developing comprehensive security and emergency management capabilities in challenging, high-risk environments.

After observing a lack of training and tangible safety and security solutions in the family and domestic violence sector, Grant formed Concentric Concepts, utilising his protective skillset and kind nature.

In the years since the inception of Concentric Concepts, Grant has forged an exceptional reputation within the family and domestic violence sector, known specifically for his professionalism, and empathy towards victims.

Grant understands the needs of people in crisis. His team at Concentric Concepts have one goal; effectively protect clients and their families, so they can enjoy life, and live without fear.
Matthew Foots - Operations Director.
Technical Surveillance expert.
Matthew has an extremely diverse skillset, with experience across several industries, including banking and mining.
​
In 2002, Matthew joined the Queensland Police Service (QPS) where he quickly transitioned from general duties to a number of specialised roles, including advanced driving, Surveillance, Special Emergency Response Team (SERT), Public Safety Response Team (PSRT), the Dog Squad and Traffic branches.
Most recently, Matthew was a member of the Technical Surveillance Unit at Queensland’s Crime and Corruption Commission, before transferring to the Technical Surveillance Unit within the QPS.
As a highly skilled surveillance technician, Matthew was instrumental in gathering intelligence and evidence for a number of high-profile investigations, and completed several training courses and conferences locally, interstate and overseas in video, audio, locks, alarms and CCTV.
Matthew was also an operational skills and tactics instructor (OST) in the QPS, teaching numerous sections in firearms, taser and operational up-skilling. He brings to Concentric Concepts a strong operational policing background, exceptional technical capability and advanced driving and training skills.
